Art Basel Miami 2018- Painted in Wynwood, Miami

Creating a meaningful composition with all the different works involved a self-reflecting process given that I had to onboard ideas which sometimes differed to mine. The final work evokes the importance of nature and the need to connect to it and be in symbiosis. The layers of paint, a sprinkle of fantasy, the use of a washed-out dripping background combined with more solid colors for the subjects, hint at the intricacy and depth of nature. The overall magical enchanting forest feeling aims to convey that we may not fully understand how nature works but we humans need nature to thrive, dream and escape.
